Introduction#

This document describes the general process of operation and configuration of the VisionLabs Facestream application. For more information on launching the application, see the FaceStream installation manual.

FaceStream conducts several functions:

  • Video-stream reading

Web-cameras, IP-cameras (via RTSP protocol) and video files can act as data sources.

  • Video-stream processing

It searches for faces and bodies in the video stream and tracks them until they leave the frame or are blocked.

  • Sending face images as HTTP-requests onto external services

VisionLabs Software LUNA PLATFORM 5 can act as an external service.

FaceStream can be configured to work with either faces or bodies. Simultaneous processing of faces and bodies is not possible.
