Registration and getting started with CARS_Analytics UI#

Role Model#

In CARS_Analytics UI, access rights are managed according to a role-based model. There are two roles: User and Administrator.

The description of User rights is presented in Table 1.

Account Activation#

When an Administrator adds a new user, the user receives a registration link to their email address (Figure 1).

To continue registration, follow the link. A password creation form will appear on the screen (Figure 2).

Enter the password and re-enter it in the second field. If the passwords match, click the «Save» button.

After the password is created, the Service will automatically prompt the user to log in.

Authorization#

User access is provided by logging into the Service's web page. The login link for CARS_Analytics UI must be requested from the Administrator.

When you login to CARS_Analytics UI, the authorization form is displayed (Figure 3).

To authorize in CARS_Analytics UI, enter the login credentials (login and password) in the corresponding fields and click the «Log In» button.

The administrator account is automatically created during installation and serves for initial access. The login and password data are specified in the configuration file «.env», with the default login being «admin@test.ru», the password is «test_admin».

Password Reset#

The password reset is performed on the login page by clicking the «Forgot Password» button (Figure 4).

In the window that opens, enter the email and click the «Reset» button (Figure 5).

Email will be sent with a link to reset the password. Click the link and enter a new password. This process is similar to the account activation process.

Logging out#

To log out, click the «Log out» button, which is located in the dropdown menu on the right (Figure 6).
