"Operator panel" section#

The “Operator panel” section displays events of face and body recognition (Figure 7) as well as video analytics events (Figure 8). Receiving and displaying events is performed with minimal delays in near real time.

Click the “Get events” switch (1) to show events received via the WebSocket protocol. Click on the "Filters" button (2) to filter events by parameters (for more details, see the "Filtering events" section). Click the "Settings" button (3) to customize the event feed. Select:

  • types of events to show—face and/or body recognition events or video analytics events;
  • fields to display in event cards—date and time, source, address, lists;
  • settings for showing faces and bodies—show faces and bodies in events, only faces or only bodies, as well as the default order for displaying faces and bodies in events.

The page shows the last 30 events within the settings of handling policy for processing incoming images of the video stream (3). An event is:

  • face detection;
  • body detection;
  • detection of face and body together;
  • video analytics "People Count", "Fight", "Weapon", "Fire", "Balaclava/Niqab", "Abandoned objects".

  • Photo image from a video stream—face, body, face and body together, as well as video analytics event recognition;
  • Name or ID of the event source that recorded the event;
  • Location of the event—house number, street, city, district, area;
  • For face and body detection events:
    • Top match—the reference photo image of face and/or body. If no matches are found for a photo from an event, then the column with the top match for this event will remain empty.
    • Event type—"Detection", when a face or body is detected in the frame, and "Match", when a match is found for the detected face or body in the database.
    • The date and time the event was recorded;
    • “Lists”—the name of the lists (list) to which the face from the top match is attached;
    • Value of similarity of the identified face or body with the reference in percentage terms and with the color coding of similarity thresholds*;
  • For video analytics events:
    • Event type—takes values of ​​"People Count", "Fire", "Weapon", "Fight", "Balaclava/Niqab", "Abandoned objects" depending on the type of video analytics;
    • The date and time of the start and end of the event;
    • For a people counting event, user sees information about the number of people detected in the processed video segment;
    • For a fire detection event, user sees the probability of fire in the frame is displayed in percentage, as well as information about the fire class, such as "Black Smoke", "White Smoke", "Fire";
    • For weapon, fight, balaclava/niqab events, user sees the probability of weapon, fight, balaclava/niqab in the frame in percentage;
    • For abandoned object events, the recognized object is displayed on a frame from the video stream.

* The color coding of similarity thresholds is configured in the config.json configuration file (see LUNA POINT. Administration Manual).:

  • similarity values below “low” will be marked in red;
  • similarity values between “low” and “medium” will be marked in yellow;
  • similarity values above “medium” will be marked in green.

Click on a block with an event to open the event details.

Showing alarm events#

Configure the display of notifications about alarm events in the "Operator panel" and in other sections via the handling policy settings, "Tagging parameters" (Figure 9). Disable notifications for a while via the setting in the window (Figure 10).

Event details in the operator panel#

The details of the face and/or body detection event are presented below (Table 2)

Full frame icon

Click to open the full frame of the video stream where the event was recorded.

Add to card icon

Click to open the "Add to card" window. Here the user can add a sample to the person card by filling out the following fields:

  • Card ID—ID of the existing or the new person card, to which photo will be added;

  • Add face to lists—a list or lists to which the photo will be added.

After completing the fields, click the "Save" button and the sample will be attached to the specified card and lists

When clicked, the user goes to the "Search" page, where the search results by current event ID are shown

"Alarm" button

Press to send a notification to the security system service to activate the response team. To configure the alarm button in the interface, see "LUNA POINT. Administrator guide", "Setting up an alarm button | in the "Operator panel" section

"Map" tab

Shows the map with the geotag indicated

"Realtime Video" tab

Shows the video stream from the source that recorded the event

"Video stream" tab

Shows a video stream from the source that recorded the event. Allows you to track the movement of a person on the camera from a video stream

Information tab

Shows information about the match. If available, the user see:

  • Person card shows all faces similar to the reference. Here the external ID of the face is specified (it is used to transfer data from LUNA POINT to other systems), information (full name, for example) as well as | files and documents attached to the person.

For more details, see the "Index card" section.

  • Match shows the similarity value of the identified face or body with the reference in percentage. The block contains the external ID of the person, lists, to which the reference is linked, and information, such as a note about the visitor.

  • The button for adding a person to the card opens a window where the user can add a person from the DB (reference) to the person card.

List of recent events with detected face and/or body

  • Event photo — photo of face, body or both face and body from video stream;
  • Similarity percentage — value of similarity degree of identified face or body with reference face or body in percentage;
  • Date — date and time of event recording;
  • Source — name of source that recorded event;
  • Location — location of event — region, city, district, street, house.

Filtering events#

User can quickly find an event among the last 30, as well as affect the appearance of new events on the screen using filters. Click on the "Filter" button in the “Operator panel” page, to open a menu with settings and filters (Figure 11).

A short description of the elements and parameters of the filter block on the “Operator panel” page is presented below (Table 6). Select one filter or a combination of filters. The selected settings are applied automatically. Click the "Reset" button to remove filtering.
